On all tip charts, there is a column that states gallons per minute per nozzle at the specific pressure. To find that out follow this equation:

GPM = GPA x MPH x W / 5940

GPA= Gallons per acre; MPH= Miles per hour; W=Width between each nozzle in inches; 5940=Constant: Always stays the same

Example: Joe Smith would like to apply 15 gallons per acre and target speed is 7 miles per hour. His boom is plumbed with the nozzles at 15 inches apart.

.27 GPM per nozzle = 15 GPA x 7 MPH x 15" / 5940

Note: This is based on water as your carrier. Conversion factors must be used for carriers with different weights than water.

Calculate Gallons Per Minute per nozzle and multiply by the number of nozzles on your machine. Tank agitation then must be added. Find a flow chart on your pump and compare. Just remember most pump flows are based off of no head pressure. As pressure rises, GPM drops.

80 stands for an 80° tip

03 signifies the size of the nozzle. Most flat fan nozzles are rated at 40 PSI and with this tip it will put out .30 GPM at 40 PSI. The color also signifies the size of the tip where this one would be Blue
